Simeon  Peter,  a servant and an apostle  of Jesus Christ: To those who have received a faith equal to ours through the righteousness  of our God and Savior  Jesus Christ.

Simeon  has reported how God first intervened to take from the Gentiles a people for his name.

These are the names of the twelve apostles:  First, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

So honor will come to you who believe; but for the unbelieving, The stone that the builders rejected — this one has become the cornerstone,   ,

so that the proven character of your faith   #— #more valuable than gold which, though perishable, is refined by fire   #— #may result  in praise, glory, and honor  at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Paul,  a servant of God  and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for  the faith of God’s elect  and their knowledge of the truth  that leads  to godliness,

For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe  in him, but also to suffer for him,

This was not made known to people  in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets  by the Spirit:

since the one at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.

He made the one who did not know sin  to be sin  for us,  so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

For I am the least of the apostles,  not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted  the church of God.

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us #— #our righteousness,  sanctification,  and redemption   #— #

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith,  , just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.   ,,

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me,   I also send you.”

and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, he said, “You are Simon, son of John.   You will be called Cephas”   (which is translated “Peter”  ).

Because of this, the wisdom of God   said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles,   and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

As  he was walking along the Sea of Galilee,  he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter), and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea #— #for they were fishermen.

In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely, and this is what she will be named: The Lord Is Our Righteousness.

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the Lord, the  Lord  himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.”
