Pleasing is the man who shows mercy and lends. He will order his words with judgment.

Their feet are swift to shed blood. Grief and unhappiness are in their ways; and the way of peace, they have not known.

so that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have the strongest solace: we who have fled together so as to hold fast to the hope set before us.

For the eyes of the Lord are upon the just, and his ears are with their prayers, but the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil.
