Then Israel sang this verse: "Let the well rise up." They sang:

Who will declare the powers of the Lord? Who make a hearing for all his praises?

And their heart was brought low with hardships. They were weakened, and there was no one to help them.

Sing to the Lord, for he has acted magnificently! Announce it to the whole world!

"The well, the leaders dug it, and the commanders of the multitude prepared it, at the direction of the lawgiver, and with their staffs."

Is any of you sad? Let him pray. Is he even-tempered? Let him sing psalms.
