Whoever guards his mouth guards his soul. But whoever gives no consideration to his speech shall experience misfortunes.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Whoever values it shall eat from its fruits.

But I say to you, that for every idle word which men will have spoken, they shall render an account in the day of judgment.

Then certain ones from the scribes and the Pharisees responded to him, saying, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from you."
