Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.

And Jesus said to them, "Why are you afraid, O little in faith?" Then rising up, he commanded the winds, and the sea. And a great tranquility occurred.

And as Jesus passed from there, two blind men followed him, crying out and saying, "Take pity on us, Son of David."

Woe to you, experts in the law! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You yourselves do not enter, and those who were entering, you would have prohibited."

Now he also told them a parable, that we should continually pray and not cease,

And they were bringing little children to him, so that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw this, they rebuked them.

And he cried out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, take pity on me!"

Then Jesus, standing still, ordered him to be brought to him. And when he had drawn near, he questioned him,

And certain Pharisees within the crowd said to him, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples."

While he was still speaking, someone came to the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him: "Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble him."

Because of this, three times I petitioned the Lord that it might be taken away from me.
