And the child grew, and he was strengthened in spirit. And he was in the wilderness, until the day of his manifestation to Israel.
Then, after they departed, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: "What did you go out to the desert to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
Now in those days, John the Baptist arrived, preaching in the desert of Judea,
For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
Now the child grew, and he was strengthened with the fullness of wisdom. And the grace of God was in him.
And Jesus advanced in wisdom, and in age, and in grace, with God and men.
And I did not know him. Yet it is for this reason that I come baptizing with water: so that he may be made manifest in Israel."
For he was vehemently and publicly reproving the Jews, by revealing through the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.
Then the Lord visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the youth Samuel was magnified with the Lord.
