And when the sun had risen, the Lord ordered a hot and burning wind. And the sun beat down on the head of Jonah, and he burned. And he petitioned for his soul that he might die, and he said, "It is better for me to die than to live."

Those whom I love, I rebuke and chastise. Therefore, be zealous and do penance.

They shall not hunger, nor shall they thirst, anymore. Neither shall the sun beat down upon them, nor any heat.

And so, Samuel revealed to him all the words, and he did not hide them from him. And he responded: "He is the Lord. May he do what is good in his own eyes."
