For Jesus himself offered testimony that a Prophet has no honor in his own country.

And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house."

And Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house, and among his own kindred."

Then he said: "Amen I say to you, that no prophet is accepted in his own country.
