They will grope as in the darkness, not the light, and he will make them stagger like drunkards.

He will not withdraw from the darkness; the flame will burn up his branches, and he will be defeated by the breath of his own mouth.

He will expel him from light into darkness, and he will remove him from the world.

All darkness has been hidden in his secrecy. A fire that has not been set will devour him; he will be thrown down and forsaken in his tabernacle.

And did you think that you would not see darkness and that you were not to be overwhelmed by the on-rush of overflowing waters?

The way of the impious is darkened. They do not know where they may fall.

We groped for the wall, like one who is blind, and we felt our way, like one without eyes. We stumbled at midday, as if in darkness; and in darkness, as if in death.

And it will be in that day, says the Lord God, that the sun will decline at midday, and I will cause the earth to become dark on the day of light.

And may you grope at midday, just as a blind man is accustomed to grope in darkness, and may your paths not be straight. And at all times may you suffer slander and be oppressed with violence, and may you have no one who may free you.
