Permit me, and I will speak, and afterwards, if you see fit, you can laugh at my words.
Will men be silent only for you? And when you have mocked others, will no one refute you?
Be silent for a little while, so that I may speak whatever my mind suggests to me.

I have not sinned, yet my eye remains in bitterness.
I beseech you to hear my words and to do penance.
Behold, you know all this, and so why do you speak vain things without a reason?
