Those who were sometime my counselors, treat me like an abomination; and he whom I valued the most has turned against me.

My kinsmen have forsaken me, and those who knew me, have forgotten me.

Even the foolish have looked down on me, and, when I withdrew from them, they spoke ill of me.

Now you have arrived, and merely by seeing my affliction, you are afraid.

Remove your scourges from me.

I will say to God, "You are my supporter. Why have you forgotten me? And why do I walk in mourning, while my adversary afflicts me?"

In the daylight, the Lord has ordered his mercy; and in the night, a canticle to him. With me is a prayer to the God of my life.

God is glorified by the counsel of the saints. He is great and terrible above all those who are around him.

And Jesus said to him, "Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?"
