In those days, they will no longer say: 'The fathers ate a bitter grape, and the teeth of the sons have been affected.'
God will preserve the grief of the father for his sons, and, when he repays, then he will understand.
Instead, each one will die for his own iniquity. Each man who will have eaten a bitter grape, his own teeth will be affected.
Our fathers have sinned, and are not. And we have carried their iniquities.
The fathers shall not be put to death on behalf of the sons, nor the sons on behalf of the fathers, but each one shall die for his own sin.
