And when he had explained everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

And he described for us how he had seen an Angel in his house, standing and saying to him: 'Send to Joppa and summon Simon, who is surnamed Peter.

And the hand of the Lord was with them. And a great number believed and were converted to the Lord.

"I was in the city of Joppa praying, and I saw, in an ecstasy of mind, a vision: a certain container descending, like a great linen sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners. And it drew near to me.

And all who were living in Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they were converted to the Lord.

Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which in translation is called Dorcas. She was filled with the good works and almsgiving that she was accomplishing.

Now since Lydda was close to Joppa, the disciples, upon hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, asking him: "Do not be slow in coming to us."

And it happened that he resided for many days in Joppa, with a certain Simon, a tanner.
