But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he explained how the Lord had led him away from prison. And he said, "Inform James and those brothers." And going out, he went away to another place.

Now when they persecute you in one city, flee into another. Amen I say to you, you will not have exhausted all the cities of Israel, before the Son of man returns.

"Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joseph, and Jude, and Simon? Are not his sisters also here with us?" And they took great offense at him.

Then, when he came out, he was unable to speak to them. And they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple. And he was making signs to them, but he remained mute.

And he went again across the Jordan, to that place where John first was baptizing. And he lodged there.

And so, Jesus no longer walked in public with the Jews. But he went into a region near the desert, to a city which is called Ephraim. And he lodged there with his disciples.

Therefore, Simon Peter motioned to this one and said to him, "Who is it that he is speaking about?"

Then, after these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee. For he was not willing to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.

Therefore, they took up stones to cast at him. But Jesus hid himself, and he departed from the temple.

In those days, Peter, rising up in the midst of the brothers, said (now the crowd of men altogether was about one hundred and twenty):

But Peter was persevering in knocking. And when they had opened, they saw him and were astonished.

Then, when daylight came, there was no small commotion among the soldiers, as to what had happened concerning Peter.

Then Paul, rising up and motioning for silence with his hand, said: "Men of Israel and you who fear God, listen closely.

And after they had been silent, James responded by saying: "Noble brothers, listen to me.

And they went away from the prison and entered into the house of Lydia. And having seen the brothers, they consoled them, and then they set out.

So they dragged Alexander from the crowd, while the Jews were propelling him forward. And Alexander, gesturing with his hand for silence, wanted to give the people an explanation.

Then, on the following day, Paul entered with us to James. And all the elders were assembled.

And when he had given him permission, Paul, standing on the stairs, motioned with his hand to the people. And when a great silence occurred, he spoke to them in the Hebrew language, saying:

And there, when the brothers had heard of us, they went to meet us as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns. And when Paul had seen them, giving thanks to God, he took courage.

Next, he was seen by James, then by all the Apostles.

But I saw none of the other Apostles, except James, the brother of the Lord.

For before certain ones arrived from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they had arrived, he drew apart and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.

And so, when they had acknowledged the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who seemed like pillars, gave to me and to Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we would go to the Gentiles, while they went to the circumcised,

James, servant of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes of the dispersion, greetings.
