And she said to her husband: "I have noticed that he is a holy man of God, who passes by us frequently.

But now, release me from my sin even this time, and petition the Lord your God, so that he may take this death away from me."

And they arrived at Marah. They were unable to drink the waters of Marah because they were bitter. Therefore, he also established a name befitting the place, calling it 'Marah,' that is, bitterness.

They will take up serpents, and, if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them. They shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they will be well."

This is the blessing, with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the sons of Israel before his death.
