Ye shall knowe them by theyr fruites, Do men gather grapes of thornes? or fygges of thystles?
Can the fygge tree, my brethren, beare oliue beries? either a vine beare figges? So can no fountayne geue both salt water and freshe also.
Either make the tree good, and his fruite good: or els make the tree euyll, and his fruite euyll. For the tree, is knowen by his fruite.
Wherfore, by theyr fruites, ye shall knowe them.
According as the olde prouerbe sayeth, wickednesse proceedeth fro the wicked: But myne hande be not vpon thee
A chylde is knowen by his conuersation, whether his workes be pure and right
But the fruite of the spirite is, loue, ioye, peace, long sufferyng, gentlenesse, goodnesse, fayth,
But some man wyll say, thou hast fayth and I haue deedes: shewe me thy fayth by thy deedes, and I wyll shewe thee my faith by my deedes.
