Then resorted vnto hym all the publicanes and sinners, for to heare hym.
This is a faythfull saying, and by all meanes worthy to be receaued, that Christe Iesus came into the worlde to saue synners, of whom I am chiefe.
Agayne, when the wicked turneth away from his wickednesse that he hath done, and doth iudgement and right, he shall saue his soule aliue
But the lawe in the meane tyme entred in, that sinne shoulde encrease. But where sinne was plenteous, grace was more plenteous.
And all the people, and the publicanes that hearde hym, iustified God, and were baptized with the baptisme of Iohn.
And beholde, there are last, which shalbe first: And there are first, which shalbe last.
For yf ye loue them which loue you, what rewarde haue ye? Do not the publicans also euen the same?
