If the sonne shall aske breade, of any of you that is a father, wyll he geue him a stone? Or yf he aske fisshe, wyll he for fisshe geue hym a serpent?
Is there any among you, which, yf his sonne aske hym bread, wyll geue hym a stone?
Will a woman forget her owne infant, and not pitie the sonne of her owne wombe? And though they do forget, yet wyll I not forget thee
Or yf he aske fyshe, wyll he geue hym a serpent?
For euery one that asketh, receaueth, and he that seketh, fyndeth, and vnto hym that knocketh, shall it be opened.
Or yf he aske an egge, wyll he offer hym a scorpion?
