Then certaine philosophers of the Epicures, and of the Stoickes disputed with hym. And some saide: What wyll this babler say? Other some, he seemeth to be a setter foorth of newe gods: because he preached vnto them Iesus, and the resurrection.

But, yf ye spirite of hym that raysed vp Iesus from the dead, dwell in you: euen he that raised vp Christe from the dead, shall also quicken your mortall bodyes, because that his spirite dwelleth in you.

But when the Iewes sawe the people, they were full of indignation, and spake agaynst those thynges which were spoken of Paul, speakyng against, and raylyng.

But euery man in his owne order. The first fruites [is] Christe, afterward, they that are Christes at his commyng.

That Christe shoulde suffer, and that he shoulde be the first that shoulde ryse from the dead, and shoulde shewe lyght vnto the people, and to the gentiles.

Why shoulde it be thought a thyng incredible vnto you, that God shoulde rayse agayne the dead?

Except it be for this one voyce, that I cryed standyng among them, of the resurrection from the dead, am I iudged of you this day.

And the same time there arose no litle a do about that way.

Then the chiefe priest rose vp, and all they that were with hym, which is the sect of the Saducees, and were full of indignation:

And kylled the Lorde of lyfe, whom God hath raysed from the dead: of the which we are witnesses.

Sanaballat also the Horonite, and Tobia a seruaunt the Ammonite hearde of it, & it greeued them sore, that there was come a man which sought the wealth of the children of Israel
