So, Jesus went into the [Jewish] synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching [the good news about the coming kingdom, verses 14- 15] and driving out evil spirits.

Jesus went all over Galilee teaching in the [Jewish] synagogues and preaching the good news of the [coming, see verse 17] kingdom, and healing all kinds of disease and sickness among the people.

Jesus traveled throughout all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the [coming] kingdom and healing all kinds of diseases and illnesses.

So, they went to Capernaum [Note: This was a city in Galilee that later became Jesus’ headquarters while in Galilee. See verse 29 and 2:1], and on the [first] Sabbath day Jesus entered the synagogue and taught people.

And just then there appeared in the synagogue a man dominated by an evil spirit. He shouted out,

He said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns so that I can preach there also, for this was why I came out [i.e., Jesus was sent by God to preach to other towns as well as Capernaum. See Luke 4:43].”

And Jesus entered the synagogue again and there He met a man with a deformed hand.

[But] He marveled at the people’s lack of faith. So, He traveled and taught throughout the [surrounding] villages.

And she went away to her house and found her child lying on her bed with the evil spirit gone from her.

And evil spirits also came out of many people, shouting [at Him], “You are the Son of God.” And Jesus spoke sternly to them and would not allow them to speak [anymore] because they knew He was the Christ [Note: Jesus would not accept the endorsement of these Satanic spirits].
