Then Jesus said to them, ‘What have you been talking about while [you were] walking along together?” And they stopped [suddenly], looking dejected.

But they were [miraculously (?)] prevented from recognizing who He was.

Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered Jesus, “Are you the only visitor in Jerusalem who does not know what all happened there the past few days?”

And now that I have told you these things, your hearts are full of grief.
