But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.
Now the leading priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where Jesus was, he was to report it, so they could arrest Him.
But [even] though Jesus had performed so many [miraculous] signs in front of the people, still they did not believe in Him.
The Pharisees [i.e., a strict sect of the Jewish religion] heard the crowd whispering these things about Him, so the leading priests and Pharisees sent some Temple guards to arrest Him.
So, [when] the Temple guards [See verse 32] returned to the leading priests and Pharisees, they were asked, “Why did you not bring Jesus here?”
[So], they brought the man, who had been blind, to the Pharisees.
[Just then] someone came in and said, “Look, the men you put in jail are [now] standing in the Temple teaching people.”
