All the saints [i.e., God’s holy people] send you their greetings.
because I hope to see you soon, and [then] we can speak face to face.
The children [i.e., members] of your chosen sister [i.e., church] send you their greetings. [See verse 1].
Your sister [church] here in Babylon, [also] chosen [by God], as you have been, sends her greetings along with my [spiritual] son Mark.
Greet all of those who are your leaders, and all the saints [i.e., God’s holy people]. Those [brothers] from Italy send you their greetings.
Greet one another with a holy kiss [i.e., to signify affection, yet without sensuality]. All of the churches of Christ [i.e., which Paul established or preached in] send you their greetings.
And if you greet [cordially] your brothers only, what are you doing more than other people? Do not even the [unconverted] Gentiles do that much?
