[Psa. 110:1] ‘The Lord [i.e., God] said to my [i.e., David’s] Lord [i.e., Jesus], sit at my right side until I put your enemies [in full subjection] beneath your feet.’
But which one of the angels did God ever say [this] about [Psa. 110:1], “You should sit at my right side until I put your enemies [in full subjection] beneath your feet?”
Now David is not the one who ascended into heaven for he [spoke of Jesus when he] said [Psa. 110:1], 'The Lord [i.e., God] said to my [i.e., David’s] Lord [i.e., Jesus], sit at my right side
[It was] David himself [who] said by [inspiration of] the Holy Spirit [Psa. 110:1], ‘The Lord [i.e., God] said to my [i.e., David’s] Lord [i.e., Jesus], sit at my right side until I make your enemies the footrest [i.e., in subjection] under your feet.’
You placed everything under his feet.” [Note: This is true of both mankind (Gen. 1:26-28) and of Jesus (Eph. 1:22-23) ]. For in subjecting everything to him, God did not leave anything that is not subject to him. But at the present time we do not see what all has been subjected to him.
