And He came up and touched the bier [on which the body rested], and the pallbearers stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise [from death]!”

Then he stretched himself out upon the child three times, and called to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, please let this child’s life return to him.”

The Lord heard the voice of Elijah, and the life of the child returned to him and he revived.

So man lies down and does not rise [again]. Until the heavens are no longer, The dead will not awake nor be raised from their sleep.

“If a man dies, will he live again? I will wait all the days of my struggle Until my change and release will come. [John 5:25; 6:40; 1 Thess 4:16]

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

The man who was dead sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.

This news about Him spread through all of Judea and in all the surrounding countryside. [1 Kin 17:17-24; 2 Kin 4:32-37]

Jesus said to her, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies;

Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life [and allows them to live on], even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.

I assure you and most solemnly say to you, a time is coming and is [here] now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will live.

(as it is written [in Scripture], “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the sight of Him in whom he believed, that is, God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. [Gen 17:5]

for it is disgraceful even to mention the things that such people practice in secret.
