Isaiah said these things because he saw His glory and spoke about Him. [Is 6:9, 10]

Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared [beside him] and a light shone in the cell. The angel struck Peter’s side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off his hands.

For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood before me,

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors, and leading them out, he said,

And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ. [Gen 1:3]

And great, we confess, is the mystery [the hidden truth] of godliness: He (Jesus Christ) who was revealed in human flesh, Was justified and vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

In fact, so terrifying was the sight, that Moses said, “I am filled with fear and trembling.” [Deut 9:19]

After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, possessing great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his splendor and radiance. [Ex 34:29-35; 1 Tim 6:16]

And I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them [for this heaven and earth are passing away]. [Is 51:6; Matt 24:35; 2 Pet 3:10-12]
