And when he gets home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my lost sheep!’

Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [Hos 2:23]

For you were continually wandering like [so many] sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. [Is 53:5, 6]
