What more could have been done for My vineyard that I have not done in it? When I looked for it to bring forth grapes, why did it yield wild grapes?

I have sent also to you all My servants the prophets earnestly and persistently, saying, Return now every man from his evil way and amend your doings and go not after other gods to serve them; and then you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers. But you did not submit and consent to Me or listen to and obey Me.

But the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, This is the heir; come on, let us kill him and have his inheritance.

Now when the owner of the vineyard comes back, what will he do to those tenants?

They said to Him, He will put those wretches to a miserable death and rent the vineyard to other tenants of such a character that they will give him the fruits promptly in their season. [Isa. 5:1-7.]

And sent his servants to summon those who had been invited to the wedding banquet, but they refused to come.

AND [Jesus] started to speak to them in parables [with comparisons and illustrations]. A man planted a vineyard and put a hedge around it and dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower and let it out [for rent] to vinedressers and went into another country.

But those tenants said to one another, Here is the heir; come on, let us put him to death, and [then] the inheritance will be ours.

Now what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants, and give the vineyard to others.

Then He began to relate to the people this parable (this story to figuratively portray what He had to say): A man planted a vineyard and leased it to some vinedressers and went into another country for a long stay. [Isa. 5:1-7.]
