He went out again about the sixth hour (noon), and the ninth hour (three o'clock) he did the same.

And he said to them, You go also into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will pay you. And they went.

And about the eleventh hour (five o'clock) he went out and found still others standing around, and said to them, Why do you stand here idle all day?

Now from the sixth hour (noon) there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour (three o'clock).

He said to them, Come and see. So they went and saw where He was staying, and they remained with Him that day. It was then about the tenth hour (about four o'clock in the afternoon).

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? Anyone who walks about in the daytime does not stumble, because he sees [by] the light of this world.

And Jacob's well was there. So Jesus, tired as He was from His journey, sat down [to rest] by the well. It was then about the sixth hour (about noon).

About the ninth hour (about 3:00 p.m.) of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God entering and saying to him, Cornelius!

The next day as they were still on their way and were approaching the town, Peter went up to the roof of the house to pray, about the sixth hour (noon).

NOW PETER and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour (three o'clock in the afternoon),
