Then He said, Solemnly I say to you, no prophet is acceptable and welcome in his [own] town (country).

And they took offense at Him [they were repelled and hindered from acknowledging His authority, and caused to stumble]. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.

Then many more believed in and adhered to and relied on Him because of His personal message [what He Himself said].

Although He Himself declared that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
