And while [since] they still could not believe it for sheer joy and marveled, He said to them, Have you anything here to eat?

If I called and He answered me, yet would I not believe that He listened to my voice.

And when they heard that He was alive and that she had seen Him, they did not believe it.

And they returned [to Jerusalem] and told the others, but they did not believe them either.

Afterward He appeared to the Eleven [apostles themselves] as they reclined at table; and He reproved and reproached them for their unbelief (their lack of faith) and their hardness of heart, because they had refused to believe those who had seen Him and looked at Him attentively after He had risen [from death].

And they had a few small fish; and when He had praised God and given thanks and asked Him to bless them [to their use], He ordered that these also should be set before [them].

But these reports seemed to the men an idle tale (madness, feigned things, nonsense), and they did not believe the women.

And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

They gave Him a piece of broiled fish,

So for the present you are also in sorrow (in distress and depressed); but I will see you again and [then] your hearts will rejoice, and no one can take from you your joy (gladness, delight).

So Jesus said to them, Boys (children), you do not have any meat (fish), do you? [Have you caught anything to eat along with your bread?] They answered Him, No!

And recognizing Peter's voice, in her joy she failed to open the gate, but ran in and told the people that Peter was standing before the porch gate.
