NOW THE tax collectors and [notorious and especially wicked] sinners were all coming near to [Jesus] to listen to Him.

Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness which he has committed and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his life.

For if you love those who love you, what reward can you have? Do not even the tax collectors do that?

The saying is sure and true and worthy of full and universal acceptance, that Christ Jesus (the Messiah) came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
