Dan shall be a serpent by the way, a horned snake in the path, that bites at the horse's heels, so that his rider falls backward.

Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.

I wait for Your salvation, O Lord.

Of Dan, 28,600, men who could set the battle in array;

At the last it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder.

If the serpent bites before it is charmed, then it is no use to call a charmer [and the slanderer is no better than the uncharmed snake].
