So Hushai, David's friend, returned, and Absalom also came into Jerusalem.

Absalom said, Now call Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear what he says.

Azariah son of Nathan was over the officers; Zabud son of Nathan was priest and the king's friend and private advisor;

Ahithophel was the king's counselor; Hushai the Archite was the king's companion and friend.

Then it went from Bethel to Luz and passed on to Ataroth, the border of the Archites.
