And Hezekiah rejoiced and welcomed the embassy and showed them all his treasure-house–the silver, gold, spices, precious ointment, his armory, and all that was found in his treasuries. There was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezekiah did not show them.

God has spoken once, twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.

Will you set your eyes upon wealth, when [suddenly] it is gone? For riches certainly make themselves wings, like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.

Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth who does good and never sins. [Isa. 53:6; Rom. 3:23.]

And Hezekiah was glad and welcomed them and showed them the house of his spices and precious things–the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious ointment, all the house of his armor and his jewels, and all that was found in his treasuries. There was nothing in his house nor in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.

Speak, Thus says the Lord: The dead bodies of men shall fall like dung on the open field and like sheaves [of grain] behind the reaper, and none shall gather them. [Jer. 8:2.]
