Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah, The thistle in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son as wife. And a wild beast of Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle [leaving the cedar unharmed].

If the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?

When the men of Israel saw that they were in a tight situation–for their troops were hard pressed–they hid in caves, holes, rocks, tombs, and pits or cisterns.
