Abiathar [the priest] and behold, Zadok came also, and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God until all the people had gone from the city.

Sheva was scribe; and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests;

He conferred with Joab son of Zeruiah [David's half sister] and with Abiathar the priest, and they followed Adonijah and helped him.

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites–Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,

And Abiathar told David that Saul had slain the Lord's priests.

When Abiathar son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, he came with an ephod in his hand.

David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod here.

David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray you, bring me the ephod. And Abiathar brought him the ephod.

Now a man of Benjamin ran from the battle line and came to Shiloh that day, with his clothes torn and earth on his head.
