He fashioned the two pillars of bronze, each eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits measured its circumference.

Nets of checkerwork and wreaths of chainwork for the capitals were on the tops of the pillars, seven for each capital.

And he made the five pillars of it with their hooks, and overlaid their ornamental tops and joinings with gold, but their five sockets were of bronze.

The sockets for the pillars were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their joinings of silver, the overlaying of their tops of silver, and all the pillars of the court were joined with silver.

Their pillars were four and their sockets of bronze four; their hooks were of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their joinings were of silver.

Of the 1,775 shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their tops, and made joinings for them.

An upper part or capital of bronze was on top of it. The height of one capital was five cubits (seven and one-half feet), with a network and pomegranates around it, all of bronze. The second pillar also, with its pomegranates, was similar to these.
