Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech,\par\tab That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to {\i fulfil} the lusts {\i thereof}.\par

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen {\i gathereth} her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!

But when the king came in to behold the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding-garment:

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more them of his household!

And thy renown went forth among the nations for thy beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par

I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a garland, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee; they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar; and I will glorify the house of my glory.

Thou art fair, O my love, as Tirzah,\par\tab Comely as Jerusalem,\par\tab Terrible as an army with banners.

Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet,\par\tab And thy mouth is comely.\par\tab Thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate\par\tab Behind thy veil.

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and {\i such} we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,

But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is our mother.

For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,\par\tab That ye stir not up, nor awake {\i my} love,\par\tab Until he please.\par

He made the pillars thereof of silver,\par\tab The bottom thereof of gold, the seat of it of purple,\par\tab The midst thereof being paved with love,\par\tab From the daughters of Jerusalem.

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,\par\tab By the roes, or by the hinds of the field,\par\tab That ye stir not up, nor awake {\i my} love,\par\tab Until he please.\par

For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people:\par\tab He will beautify the meek with salvation.

And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;\par\tab And establish thou the work of our hands upon us;\par\tab Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.\par

Kings' daughters are among thy honorable women:\par\tab At thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall fail;

Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they were the merchants of thy hand; in lambs, and rams, and goats, in these were they thy merchants.
