and they shall look unto the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and into thick darkness {\i they shall be} driven away.\par
So I saw the wicked buried, and they came {\i to the grave}; and they that had done right went away from the holy place, and were forgotten in the city: this also is vanity.
For of the wise man, even as of the fool, there is no remembrance for ever; seeing that in the days to come all will have been long forgotten. And how doth the wise man die even as the fool!
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul;\par\tab He hath smitten my life down to the ground:\par\tab He hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
Cast off among the dead,\par\tab Like the slain that lie in the grave,\par\tab Whom thou rememberest no more,\par\tab And they are cut off from thy hand.
