Howbeit the firm foundation of God standeth, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his: and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

Therefore is justice far from us, neither doth righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.

For the vineyard of Jehovah of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; for righteousness, but, behold, a cry.\par

And moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

The wise man's eyes are in his head, and the fool walketh in darkness: and yet I perceived that one event happeneth to them all.

The way of the wicked is as darkness:\par\tab They know not at what they stumble.\par

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved:\par\tab I have set up the pillars of it. {\i Selah

(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing,\par\tab Because our days upon earth are a shadow);

Jehovah reigneth; let the peoples tremble:\par\tab He sitteth {\i above} the cherubim; let the earth be moved.
