Psalm 78:2

I will open my mouth in a parable;\par\tab I will utter dark sayings of old,

and without a parable spake he not unto them: but privately to his own disciples he expounded all things.

I will incline mine ear to a parable:\par\tab I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

To understand a proverb, and a figure,\par\tab The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.\par

and Jehovah rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day.

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil,\par\tab When iniquity at my heels compasseth me about?

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; {\i I am} God, and there is none like me;
