If I regard iniquity in my heart,\par\tab The Lord will not hear:

We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,\par\tab Even his prayer is an abomination.

Jehovah is far from the wicked;\par\tab But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah;\par\tab But the prayer of the upright is his delight.

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may spend {\i it} in your pleasures.

Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor,\par\tab He also shall cry, but shall not be heard.

Take heed, regard not iniquity:\par\tab For this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

Surely God will not hear an empty {\i cry},\par\tab Neither will the Almighty regard it.
