For to the man that pleaseth him {\i God} giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.\par

Whoso loveth correction loveth knowledge;\par\tab But he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Riches profit not in the day of wrath;\par\tab But righteousness delivereth from death.

From men by thy hand, O Jehovah,\par\tab From men of the world, whose portion is in {\i this} life,\par\tab And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure:\par\tab They are satisfied with children,\par\tab And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses,\par\tab Which thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?

The crown of the wise is their riches;\par\tab {\i But} the folly of fools is {\i only} folly.
