If evil come upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house, and before thee, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, and thou wilt hear and save.

Therefore shall a strong people glorify thee; a city of terrible nations shall fear thee.

as the days wherein the Jews had rest from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to gladness, and from mourning into a good day; that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek unto Jehovah; and he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice:\par\tab Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

and changed his prison garments. And {\i Jehoiachin} did eat bread before him continually all the days of his life:
