Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness;\par\tab According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.

But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought and vanity; yet surely the justice {\i due} to me is with Jehovah, and my recompense with my God.\par

He will deliver {\i even} him that is not innocent:\par\tab Yea, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of thy hands.\par

I will wash my hands in innocency:\par\tab So will I compass thine altar, O Jehovah;

Therefore hath Jehovah recompensed me according to my righteousness,\par\tab According to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples:\par\tab Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me.

O Jehovah my God, if I have done this;\par\tab If there be iniquity in my hands;

And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I; for thou hast rendered unto me good, whereas I have rendered unto thee evil.

Yea, he would have allured thee out of distress\par\tab Into a broad place, where there is no straitness;\par\tab And that which is set on thy table would be full of fatness.\par

Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah, for I am in distress:\par\tab Mine eye wasteth away with grief, {\i yea}, my soul and my body.

Out of my distress I called upon Jehovah:\par\tab Jehovah answered me {\i and set me} in a large place.
