Pluck me out of the net that they have laid privily for me;\par\tab For thou art my stronghold.

A gin shall take {\i him} by the heel,\par\tab {\i And} a snare shall lay hold on him.

Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.\par

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation:\par\tab Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous;\par\tab Destroy not his resting-place:
