At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee\par\tab Because of thy righteous ordinances.
But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns unto God, and the prisoners were listening to them;
And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed.
{\i Yet} Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day-time;\par\tab And in the night his song shall be with me,\par\tab {\i Even} a prayer unto the God of my life.
Seven times a day do I praise thee,\par\tab Because of thy righteous ordinances.
I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart,\par\tab When I learn thy righteous judgments.
So that the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.
I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried:\par\tab I hoped in thy words.
{\b TSADHE.}\par\par\tab Righteous art thou, O Jehovah,\par\tab And upright are thy judgments.
I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous,\par\tab And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever:\par\tab The ordinances of Jehovah are true, {\i and} righteous altogether.
And what great nation is there, that hath statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
I have sworn, and have confirmed it,\par\tab That I will observe thy righteous ordinances.
