Moreover he must have good testimony from them that are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial {\i name}, is the desire of our soul.

I opened wide my mouth, and panted;\par\tab For I longed for thy commandments.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation,\par\tab And for thy righteous word.

I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous,\par\tab And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth;\par\tab For I have hoped in thine ordinances.

I cleave unto thy testimonies:\par\tab O Jehovah, put me not to shame.

My soul breaketh for the longing\par\tab That it hath unto thine ordinances at all times.

The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever:\par\tab The ordinances of Jehovah are true, {\i and} righteous altogether.

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

And what great nation is there, that hath statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Lest he that heareth it revile thee,\par\tab And thine infamy turn not away.
