Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.

For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.\par

And he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and that give wicked counsel in this city;

But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.

And the instruments of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

He that soweth iniquity shall reap calamity;\par\tab And the rod of his wrath shall fail.

The way of him that is laden with guilt is exceeding crooked;\par\tab But as for the pure, his work is right.

Devise not evil against thy neighbor,\par\tab Seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

Who rejoice to do evil,\par\tab And delight in the perverseness of evil;

He deviseth iniquity upon his bed;\par\tab He setteth himself in a way that is not good;\par\tab He abhorreth not evil.\par

Who devise mischiefs in their heart;\par\tab Continually do they gather themselves together for war.

A worthless man deviseth mischief;\par\tab And in his lips there is as a scorching fire.

He that hath a wayward heart findeth no good;\par\tab And he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.

He that deviseth to do evil,\par\tab Men shall call him a mischief-maker.

They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent;\par\tab Adders' poison is under their lips. {\i Selah

For the perverse is an abomination to Jehovah;\par\tab But his friendship is with the upright.

Do they not err that devise evil?\par\tab But mercy and truth {\i shall be to} them that devise good.
